Day 1
In the morning, tour of Senigallia, a seaside town
that is also rich in history and places of considerable
interest. We will visit the Rocca Roveresca, which
dates back to the Della Rovere Duchy, the Portici
Ercolani, the Foro Annonario and places of interest
in the life of Pope Pius IX, a native of Senigallia.
Lunch: free time. In the afternoon, departure for
Mondavio, a medieval village with its distinctive
fortress which hosts a picturesque wax museum
that reconstructs life in the Middle Ages. In the
late afternoon, return to Senigallia, dinner and
overnight stay.
Day 2
After breakfast, departure for Gubbio. Tour of the
town, which was the military capital of the duchy,
with the palace built by Francesco di Giorgio
Martini. The village also deserves a visit for its
extraordinary beauty and the fact that it is one of
the most important places linked to Saint Francis
of Assisi. Lunch: free time.
In the late afternoon, return to Senigallia, dinner
and overnight stay.

Day 3
After breakfast, departure for Urbino. The day
will be devoted to the tour of the magnificent
ducal city par excellence, UNESCO World Heritage
Site and seat of the Duchy. The most important
works by Piero della Francesca are on display at
the National Gallery of the Marche, in the Ducal
Palace. Also the hometown of Raffaello Sanzio,
known as Raphael. Lunch: free time.
In the late afternoon, return to Senigallia, dinner
and overnight stay.
Day 4
After breakfast, departure for Fano. Tour of the
seaside town, with clear traces of the Roman
era, such as the arch of Augustus and the Via
Flaminia. We can also visit the Rocca Malatestiana
and the court and tombs of the Malatesta family.
Lunch: free time. In the afternoon, transfer to
Fossombrone, another Roman city which, however,
also boasts an important palace by Francesco di
Giorgio Martini, commissioned by the dukes of
Urbino. In the late afternoon, return to Senigallia,
dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5
After breakfast, departure for Pesaro. Aside from
the places connected with the dukes, Pesaro is
also important as the birthplace of composer
Gioacchino Rossini. During the tour, we will also
have the chance to visit several historic villas.
Lunch: free time. In the late afternoon, return to
Senigallia, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6
After breakfast, departure for Gradara, medieval
capital, with its perfectly preserved fortress which
acted as backdrop to some of the most famous
love stories in Italian history, such as that of Paolo
and Francesca or Sigismondo Malatesta and
Isotta. Lunch: free time.
In the afternoon, transfer to San Leo, formerly
known as Montefeltro as it was the capital of
the duchy of the same name. Both Dante and
Saint Francis passed through here, but its main
claim to fame is having imprisoned Cagliostro
in its dungeons. In the late afternoon, return to
Senigallia, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7
After breakfast, check-out and departure.
