Built in 1796, expanding an existing 17th century building, Masseria Murgia Albanese is one of the most elegant farmhouse of the local heritage.

With its neoclassical style and its baroque details, such as the elegant front staircase, the farmhouse is surrounded by pasture, almond and cherry trees with trulli and dry stone walls.

This villa, once a summer residence for the Albanese Castriota Skandemberg family first and the current owners´ family later, is furnished with antiques and old objects and collections. The floors are original and every detail contains the history of this farmhouse (gramophones, portraits, photographs, sofas ...)

The large reception room was once the barn and therefore the arches with the stone troughs are still visible.

The villa has kept its original vocation of farming and a number of trulli hosts the stables for the breeding of dairy cows.

The estate includes, finally, a rural church which was built by the archpriest Albanese and where you can admire frescoes from the 18th century.
