Look, shoot and eat!

Holiday in Puglia focused on traditional cuisine, local wine and photography.

The tour is divided into two parts:

- 3 days where you can independently visit wine cellars and taste their wines, visit the beautiful towns of Itria Valley and practise with your camera;
- 3 day photography tour with a small group where you won´t have to worry about driving, but only to appreciate the scenery and cuisine of Puglia through the techniques taught by your tutor, a photographer in love with Puglia and its food.

The workshop is highly practice-oriented, but there will be theory sessions and reviews of the photos taken during your stay.

The photography classes will alternate with cookery classes, held in a luxury country manor house, to learn how to make traditional products such as orecchiette and taralli.

Detailed program

3-day Self Drive

Day 1

• Arrival at your hotel. Enjoy a visit of a local winery with its natural cellar followed by a food & wine tasting. Spend the night in Ostuni called “White City” for its whitewashed houses on the top of a hill. You can walk through its old town and enjoy views on the valley and the coast from its panoramic terraces.

Day 2

• Visit Martina Franca, wonderful example of Baroque art with its small streets, white lanes, exclusive buildings (among them Palazzo Ducale and its frescoes by the painter Carella) and its majestic churches. Stop by the Acropoli di Puglia, oil mill in Martina Franca old town for a guided tour and an extra virgin olive oil tasting.

Day 3

• Drive to the "Museum of Primitivo" where you will also enjoy a food & wine tasting. Then stop by Grottaglie with its old town built among caves and terraces and well known for its Ceramics Quarter. Free entrance to its castle.

3-day Photography Workshop

Day 4

• Arrival at the country manor house and welcome drink
• Lunch and cookery class
• Short presentation of the photography course
• Lesson and practise in the olive trees park: photo shooting at sunset
• Dinner

Day 5

• Excursion to Monopoli old town: photo shooting at dawn
• Excursion to Alberobello, capital of trulli and lsted in the Unesco heritage
• Lunch: photo shoot at food
• Return to the farmhouse and relax
• Dinner and cookery class

Day 6

• Brunch at the masseria
• Photos review
• Discussion on photography
