Tour program

Day 1

Individiual arrival in Francavilla al Mare. Afternoon briefing with the tour guide.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to the excursion departure point (about 1h). Our hiking trip will start from the Blockhaus on the Majella mountain, reaching the “Tavole dei Briganti through the old Pertini trail.The tour continus round the mountain up to the return at Rifugio Pomilio. Transfer back to Francavilla al Mare.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to the excursion departure point (about 1h). The route starts from the charming village of Decontra and will head down the heart of Majella National Park, ending at St Bartholomew´s Hermitage.
Return to the village of Decontra and transfer back to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Today our route will lead us in eastern Majella, the less known part of the Mother Mountain. After breakfast at the hotel, we will reach the springs of Verde river and from there the path leads us to the St Martin´s Gorges, a natural canyon dug by the river Verde.
In the afternoon we will visit the medieval town of Lama Dei Peligni and taste the delicious “sfogliatelle”. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Caramanico for a full day excursion in the Orfento Valley, one of the most amazing canyons of Central Italy. The path will cross the river multiple times, in a fresh and lush green environment, going down to the river and then back up again, reaching the medieval town of Caramanico for a well deserved break.

Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
